Started Black BMW 745Li with NASTY Tan interior

I think this car should go to ImageDetail....he seems to get worse interiors than I do! But, I started on the interior first to get this "thing" clean...used full strength APC and Folex on the carpets with APC and a hot water extractor. 4.5 hours to do interior.

Before's

Passenger seat back cleaned...driver's not done

Cleaned and ready for carpet extraction

I'll start on the black paint tomorrow. Here's what I'm working with:

It looks like you have your work cut out for you Toto. My wife's car has light tan interior. The frist thing I did when I brought it for her was purchase some black OEM floor mats and removed the light tan ones.

Really had your hands full with that interior Toto. I would have to wonder if the mechanical side of the car was just as neglected. When it comes to detailing you are the man.

Clay: I wondered if you personally didn't sneek this car to Kansas City just to give me some interior "practice" LOL. Usually, the interiors are not too bad, but this one was awful. The Before pictures are after a vacum and initial wipe-down and the stains were unreal; especially the tan mats.

Then again, I look at some of the ones you've done and get inspired....I even used your "brush" on the carpets and the dealer thought they looked great!

Toto
I thought the same, the good thing is that Bimmer carpet is excellent to work with, I have removed stains from bmw carpet that would have never come out of other manufactured brands, also Hi tech carpet dye is a dead match for bmw carpet, I re-dye alot of floor mats and the always look dead on

Re: Started Black BMW 745Li with NASTY Tan interior

Master Toto,

what a job. The finished car makes it all worthwhile.

Some of those stains will not come off until the pH of the product used is high enough. Actually, the Insect Remover I use double as a stain remover and is used when my normal products won't work. pH is up to 14 so it should be handled with care but together with the shop vac it certainly works.

Some times a petrol product could cut it but it depends on the dirt.

I really would like to be a student at Master Toto's detailing university.

Sincerely

Daniel
