Talking Tesla Motors portotype detail, take a look very very rare

Recently i was hired by Tesla Motors, (the leaders of high performance exotic sports cars) because they wanted me to get their cars in shape for some photo shoots. I took quite a few pics, too many to post, so im going to try to post as few as possible. I guess this is one small step closer to becoming world renown, and maybe someday starting my own brand of car care products.

The cars started off in horrible condition, truly devastated clear coat. The dark blue car was used to test the affects of extreme weather. It was given salt baths and left to dry, every possible weather condition was thrown at it. Needless to say, it was i need of some serious work.

half/half:

Next cars

in this photo you see severe water marks and calcified deposited from when the car was taken in the nevada desert and traction control testing was preformed.

Hard at work

ALL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was very pressed on time with all these cars and had to work a 20 hr work shift to finish one of the cars, which im sure as you probably can imagine is very hard.
If any one is interested i could go more in depth about steps used etc. BTW the light blue car and silver car will be on the cover of 4 major automotive magazines with in the next coming months. The dark blue car was featured at the LA auto show, among other shows.

Saw this car on ABC. I think it's an awesome step in the right direction.

Congrats on the job. You did it and us justice!
I see you're using a Flex. You need to send this link to the Flex Corp.

Re: Tesla Motors portotype detail, take a look very very rare

At the request of a few members i will post up the steps used to correct the paint.

Steps used: Menzerna IP with a med cutting pad, followed by Menzerna Nano with a finishing pad. One one of the cars I used OPT poli seal after Nano with a finishing pad. I topped it all off with Pinnacle SSII. All via the Flex DA wich did a fantastic job, i love this machine runs very smooth and doesn't vibrate too much.

The exterior surfaces were cleaned with 303 apc(16:1) then treated with 303 protectant. Tires were also cleaned with 303 apc and treated with Pinnacle Black Onyx. I love black onyx, but it does not last more than a day or two.

NOTE: some of the photographers did not like the look of shinny tires, they said it created to large of a contrast between the side wall and tread. They proffered the natural black look.

The car looks great! I would try out Zaino Z-16 on the tires for a low gloss look!

Whew.......love the rotors with the small drilled holes, gotta get some for my Civic :-). Any chance you saw if the rotors had any cracks?

Great work !!
What pads are you using with the Flex? I ordered some 5.5" LC white and orange pads from AG, I suppose they will fit nice.
