| | | Detailed: 2005 F-350 Dually After about a year, I finally landed a client that I was after. He is a local business owner with BIG trucks. He has been building a house and this has kept him from getting his trucks detailed. This is the first of five that I will be doing this week. Bare with me on the pictures.....it was cloudy, humid, and the bottom fell out (rained) about half way through the polishing stage. Befores..... Wash Cycle..... (NXT Tech Was via Foam Gun) I degreased the wheels, tires, and wells with Purple Power 1:1. The jam were done with it 4:1. Everything was blasted with the pressure washer then foamed. I let sit for 5 minutes and came back with ZEPs Car Wash and the LC Ulti-Mitt. First thing I noticed while drying, tons of water spots and fine swirls. This was an indicator of how the previous local detailer had treated this truck. Interior..... The interior was not bad at all. This comes from only having 27K on the odometer. It only gets driven on the weekends and then now sits in a garage. I vacuumed every inch of the truck with my brush attachment. I sprayed the floors with Folex 4:1 and let sit while I wiped down the panels with Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer. Nice matte finish with anti-static properties. I then came back and vacuumed the Folex up. The windows were then done last. Exterior Polishing & Protection..... (PwS/APO60 50:50 mix via Cyclo & EDGE2K Yellow Pads) In the deal we worked out, there was not going to be extensive paint restoration. So, we decided on a one stepper and then a booster wax with the bi-weekly washes. He said it's going to get scratched again on site when he takes clients out. I decided to use my PwS/APO60 50:50 mix. The water spots were pretty bad on the hood so I thought I would use XMT#3 on one half just to see how it stood up to this mix. The PwS mix actually did a better job at removing the spots! I think this is due the chemical cleaners of PwS and the mechanical abrasives in APO60. This mix with the Cyclo removed about 75 of all defects and all of the water spots. The Cyclo covered so much area so fast. I really enjoy using this machine! Here are some action before and afters..... Door panel: Before.... After..... Hood: Before..... After....... Tailgate: Before.... After..... This was also the only protection that the paint saw. Remember this correction was done with the Cyclo in about a 1.5 hours. Wheels, Tire, and Wells.... Tires got a coating of Armor All Tire Foam and the wells, a coat of No-Touch Wet n' Protect. The aluminum wheels got the same PwS mix via MF applicator. |

Keep the details coming.

Keep the details coming. | I think they are scared of it's size. It's so balanced! One speed to. Takes the guess work out of it all. I one-arm this machine on the hood like crazy. It's just that smooth. Maybe I will do a video of me using it. It's like the Ferrari of polishers! |

About the mixing.....it's just one way I try to keep this fresh. The last thing I want to do is get bored with my job.

| | | Re: Detailed: 2005 F-350 Dually Justin, great job, bro! Looks pretty good for a one-stepper.
Now tell me more about your 50/50 mix? How different is it from using PwS by itselt, or Menzerna wax by itself? How different is it from XMT 360?
TIA.
