    On the agenda tomorrow.

The paint is really rough. Covered in deep scratches all over. Customer wants it detailed to trade it in or sell out right. He did not want full paint correction so I will be using HD Speed with my Flex 3401.

Also steam cleaning the engine bay.

I will post pictures when complete.

Oi. That's definitely lived a truck's life. Be interesting to see how much of a turnaround you can get with the Speed (I'm guessing more than enough to help get it down the road faster). Good luck!

Hd speed on those scratches is a tall order.love to see the results.what pad are you going with? IS that dirt or abrasion tree scratches.I think if those are scratches, you're gonna need more bite. But he is not paying for a correction so do your best.

I have to agree with GSKR, I think you probably need HD Polish, or Cut. That might be a tall order for Speed, as good as it is.

    Re: On the agenda tomorrow.

I offered him full correction and being he did not want it I am opting for an AIO. It there are some really deep scratches that would be body work and beyond compounding. He wants to sell it son he wasn't looking to cough up the $ for full correction. Just wants it to look better than it does....

Being a perfectionist it will be hard for to let it go back to the customer knowing I could of done so much better on it... I'm my own worst enemy...

    Re: On the agenda tomorrow.

Just cleaned the identical truck of coworkers. If it's like mine it will be covered in tar. I swear I spent 45-60 minutes on tar removal alone.

That paint looks really scratched up. I was using Speed and had good results, the truck your cleaning has got twice as many scratches. I used Speed on a Griot's Garage MF cutting pad and LK orange light cutting pad.

I look forward to the results. Good luck, glad you're using the 3401. I cheated and used my Dewalt on coworkers. Sealed with BFWD, it is so easy to use. Oh and I didn't charge the coworker.

coworkers truck was 2011 with 95k miles. The frame was as rusty as the one you have. Damn WI winters. There will probably be paint starting to peel/rust on the upper sides of the rear wheel wells.

Good luck, you are going to see an awesome turn around with that truck I'm sure.
