Detailed: Black Lexus

Did a favor for the g/f's mom...detailed a repainted Lexus....I planned this one out as well this month to submit for the show and shine...it seems only appropriate to detail a black car on Halloween...

Process:

Being repainted...the paint had the typical signs of a poor paint job...foggy paint and loads of orange peel...didnt get rid of all of it as this was a freebie and i didnt have 12 hours to do this detail.....but the hood did get wetsanded (2000 grit and 3000 grit) and the rest of the car got a compounding with 3m rubbing compound, polished with SIP and purple wool, and finished off with 106ff...

Claying was taken car of via my new Hi-tech body sponge...I like it as it cleans paint quickly...but it does leave a lot of marring...so only gets used when I know I am polishing

Collonite IW got the call of duty on this one as it is parked outside daily (as you can tell from the pics)

PICS!!!

What I started with

Scary sight!!!!

This is after washing an claying

The engine before

The engine after

BOOYAHHH!!!!

MAn that was nasty... you did an awesome job though. My gf's mom's car has loads of orange peel from a repaint...VERY poor job it's like a kid sprayed it. The mirror shot looks excellent
