Video - Glass Polishing Results - Mercedes-Benz

Video - Glass Polishing Results - Mercedes-Benz

Diamondite Glass Cleaning System
We used the Diamondite Glass Cleaning System to remove some kind of hideous film off the windshield of a Mercedes-Benz that a normal spray glass cleaner had no effect on at all.

The film was all over the windshield and almost impossible to see through, especially when the sun was out. We taped off a line down the middle of the windshield and then only worked on one side of the tape line. After using the Diamondite Glass Cleaning System we removed the tape and then shot this short video clip.

The Spray Clay with the Speed Sponge removed the film off the glass quick and easy.

While processing the photos I found another video with a little more dialog explaining what we did...

That is some good stuff, used it once on parents Pathfinder that just had a film of who knows what all over it and would not come off with any glass cleaner I had. Pulled this out and used it and went right away!

How does the system compare to using a regular fine detailing clay?

Very nice!

Did you take the video with your Cannon Rebel? Sorry for off topic.

The photos good; the video not so good. It would have been nice to see in the video the actual process used to get the windshield clean. IMO...

Just to note, I've never claimed to be a photographer nor a videographer. I've taken a lot of before and after pictures of car details and so I have a little experience for this type of work but have just started to learn how to use the video feature of the Cannon Rebel.

And while in hindsight I should have had someone here at the office taking a video of the process it's not as easy as it sounds because everyone else actually has their own duties to process and asking someone to stop what they're doing and hang around the garage while I do what often times looks like goofing off with painter's tape and products isn't reasonable at this time.

I'm uploading a new video and in this video I'm using one hand to run a rotary buffer and the other hand to operate the Rebel, you can easily watch it and find all kinds of problems with my rotary buffer technique and my video technique but if possible, cut me just a little slack as both hands were kind of busy....

LOL! Come on, Max! Get the man a tripod, for cryin' out loud!

BTW, you guys who have not tried a 3" backing plate and a soft pad on your PC, in combination with one of the many excellent glass polishes, don't know what you're missing.
