    Re: Paint protection advice

Get a beater to drive in the nasty weather conditions
  2. Re: HELP: Stained Seats After Using Upholstery Cleaner

Good ole Dawn dish soap is probably best for leather seats. I don't know about cloth seats.

But the thing with upholstery, cleaning products have the ability mess with the color if you don't test...

    Re: Ceramic Coating Recommendations

My recommendation, Adams Graphene Ceramic Spray - lasted 99 washes.

If you are really anal about keeping your car swirl free and clean, it's best to get a beater during the winter and drive that...

Damn, that looks like a lot of work. Lol..
  5. Re: Seriously?! My rant about "soft" black paint

Yeah car clear coat is suuuuuuper fragile to the lighting touch. A touch with the finger is enough to leave scratches. I've found that dry microfiber clothes also leave large gaping scratches.

Nothing beats Rain X but you have to reapply every week.

Re: Spray wax vs detailers recommendations

Wax makes water not want to stick to paint, which makes it easier to clean.

Spray detailer is meant to be a light cleaner. After every drive, you'll accumulate a bit of dust.

    If you want...

    Re: Care car research

Thanks! What I got from the experiment was that the best products only give us 60 degree contact angles. Its still a lot better than zero, lol. Companies should be pushing for 90 degrees, because...

    Re: 303 Graphene

I have the 303 graphene and have found it to be grabby when you buff it off. The manufacturers arn't giving clear instructions. Not to mention this stuff barely last a month in some reviews.

Thanks. It means a lot. I got addicted to games and have lost a lot of time. But it has also helped me to value school and the things I've learned a lot more. Money doesn't come in when one play...

    Re: Care car research

Actually this test is about as simple and crude as it can get. I'm not a Chemist. But I am a college student who has some background in science.

    Re: Care car research

The surface was flat and it didn't have any special coatings.

Other surfaces have coatings that didn't give me an angle of around zero from the start.

It had the same surface as a car panel...

    Re: Care car research

Games can be really bad for the general public. I learned in psychology 101 some of the techniques that video games employ to hook their players. It's quite sad. And I feel victim to it for years....

    Re: Care car research

I don't buy the sliding angle argument that Dr Beasleys has taken. You can change the surface of a surface to bead water, but you can't change the surface's angle(imo). He needs to prove it.

    But I...

Hi guys. Wow, it's been a while since I was last here(2015).

Just want to introduce myself a bit. A couple of years ago I spent a little bit of money(around 1K) in the hopes of being an amateur...

Re: Can polishing be done by hand?

Hand polishing I would recommend for NEW NEW cars. Even then, it is still hard work and will kill your arm. I tried to polish out an eight year old car with some turtle polish once and could not...

    4. Iron X(I use ferrex)
    5. Pressure wash again.
    6. Use a light finishing polish. Use stronger compound if needed.
