Re: 845 Waxed exterior attracting dust/leaves

I was waxing in a garage that wasn't well lot so probably another reason I used too much. I need to put some lights together.

Re: 845 Waxed exterior attracting dust/leaves

I just double checked. I transferred 4oz to a squeeze bottle and have about half left in the squeeze bottle so its probably closer to 2oz used.

    Still too much?

Yes. I'd say close that or less. Is that too much?

    845 Waxed exterior attracting dust/leaves

After going through my 2 BM wash, clay and applying 845 the car looks great but seems to be attracting a lot of dust and small pieces of leaves. I went very thin and used less than a quarter bottle...

    Longer Lasting Winter Wax/Sealant?

I have Megs NXT 2.0 and Collinitte 845.

Which will provide better winter protection?
I only wax my daily driver twice a year. I'm not going for beauty. I'm going for protection.

    Thanks

Re: MF or Foam Pads for GG6 First Timer

Thanks for all the responses. I'm going to try the Megs Thin foam and 205 to start.

Re: MF or Foam Pads for GG6 First Timer

I'm going to keep it simple and start with the Megs thin pads to start.

Is there a 5 inch backing plate best to use with these?

Re: MF or Foam Pads for GG6 First Timer

    Yes. I'll try the foam.

Objective is to take out light swirls created when I use to put my car through a car was with brushes.

Re: MF or Foam Pads for GG6 First Timer

    Why? Because they're more forgiving?

Re: MF or Foam Pads for GG6 First Timer

This is the only problem spot. The rest of the car has some light swirls which aren't coming out in a picture because its cloudy today. The car is 2012 Toyota Camry.

MF or Foam Pads for GG6 First Timer

I'm planning to do my first polish and just bought a GG6.

Should I buy MF or foam pads for use with the GG6?
I plan on buying a smaller backing plate since I see that as a recommendation a lot.

    Re: Clearcoat failure ?

[QUOTE=2black1s;1300046]Is the scuffed area readily visible or is it underneath where you need to get down and look underneath to even see it? That would play into my decision.

    The entire bumper...

    Re: Clearcoat failure ?

Should I sand the scuffed up area on the under side of the bumper before its repainted? Any specific grade sandpaper I should use? Its a 2012 Camry.

    Re: Clearcoat failure ?

I agree. The front bumper was replaced so it needed to be done. I'm just happy that they've agreed to paint it again after almost 2 years. Thanks

    Re: Clearcoat failure ?

Someone had backed into the front bumper which was replaced and then painted so it was done through insurance. Its obvious in multiple spots the clear coat is failing with no impact on that area.

    Re: Clearcoat failure ?

Thanks. It was repaired through a Toyota dealership who doesn't actually have a body shop on site but I'll contact the dealership to see what their warranty is.
