If Starbucks sent out emails like Autogeek

Woohoo, now open the email and inside you will find ...

  2. Re: Anyone know the active ingredient in Chemical Guys Citrus Wash n Gloss?

I don't have any complaints with the effectiveness of the product, which I've used in more concentrated solution to strip wax. I became suspicious about the ingredients because citrus (d-limonene)...
  3. Re: Anyone know the active ingredient in Chemical Guys Citrus Wash n Gloss?

In this case, I think "no response" is a clear answer.

I always try to find some positive lesson in everything. I was surprised that all the reviews I read on this product never caught this. It...
  4. Re: Anyone know the active ingredient in Chemical Guys Citrus Wash n Gloss?

Over the past couple weeks, I sent Chemical Guys two polite emails asking why this product is labeled as a Citrus cleaner but does not contain any citrus (as indicated in the MSDS). No response.

  6. Re: Anyone know the active ingredient in Chemical Guys Citrus Wash n Gloss?

Do the vendors participate in this forum? If so, would a Chemical Guys rep kindly weigh in on the Citrus question. Or, since AutoGeek is a supplier, perhaps they could inquire on our behalf and let...
  7. Re: Anyone know the active ingredient in Chemical Guys Citrus Wash n Gloss?

Another possibility is that the Citrus ingredient is just not listed in the MSDS. I believe that only potentially hazardous substances are required to be listed in the MSDS.
  8. Re: Anyone know the active ingredient in Chemical Guys Citrus Wash n Gloss?

I have the MSDS so I will be glad to answer your question. It states the pH is 8, so just slightly alkaline. Other ingredients listed are Dodecylbenzen and Sodium Hydroxide, plus a dye and fragrance....

    Re: AIO Interior Cleaner

I don't know if CG has their own definition, but synthetic leather, also known as Leatherette, is usually made of vinyl and is plastic-based.
  10. Re: Need to add $30 to my order, whats your most-used product?

Optimum Power Clean (OPC). By simply changing the dilution levels, you have a very versatile cleaning solution for vehicles and other stuff.
  11. Re: Those who use OPC as an interior cleaner, question...

Generally, interior cleaners are spray on, wipe off. I think OPC is great for many exterior jobs, but I'm reluctant to use it as an interior cleaner because you are supposed to rinse it off to...

Re: Post your favorite Glass Cleaner??

Cost is always a consideration, and I'm willing to pay more for a better product.

Adams glass cleaner costs 2X what I pay for Stoner's OTC. Is Adams really 2X better than Stoner's?

Re: Post your favorite Glass Cleaner??

I'm changing my vote for Stoner Invisible Glass as the best no-streak cleaner. Works even better than what I previously thought was the best.

Re: Smooth Exterior Plastic Trim is problematic

Follow-up: I cleaned the smooth plastic with a plastic cleaner and then waxed it with Collinite 845. Looks great!

Unfortunately, after opening & closing the door there are fingerprints left...

Re: Problem with meguiars leather cleaner

I'm not sure about the ripped pattern you are referring to. If you mean leather with perforations, then yes, it is usually coated. You can test for coating very simply by performing the water drop...

Re: Problem with meguiars leather cleaner

This past week I detailed two family vehicles with leather interiors.

I used Lexol leather cleaner, which is a gentle cleaner for routine maintenance. It's easily found OTC and is inexpensive....

Smooth Exterior Plastic Trim is problematic

I'm using CarPro PERL on my exterior plastic trim and tires. The recommended dilution is 1:3 for trim. I apply it with an applicator pad, then buff with a MF towel.

    For the textured plastic...

Re: Dust Repellant after Collinite 845?

Sounds like an effective dust repellent doesn't really exist, so the next best thing is just to keep it from sticking to the surface. Have you found that FK425 (or CG Speed Wipe) makes it easier for...

I am just learning that FK425 is well known for its anti-static ability to repel dust and pollen. Another QD that is also mentioned is CG Speed Wipe.

    Dust Repellant after Collinite 845?

Is there anything I can apply after waxing with 845 that would help repel dust and pollen? After hand waxing my vehicle, I am physically exhausted. So anything that could be sprayed on without a lot...

    Re: Distilled water for OPC?

I use tap water to mix with everything that gets a final rinse with the hose, which is equivalent to tap water anyway.

I only use distilled water to saturate my foam applicator pad in preparation...
