    Yeah, these things are a blast with some high temp pads and compounds! I'll have to link to some videos when I get aroud to uploading them...

    Well after a 1400 mile round trip from Orange Country to Thunderhill for two trackdays... THEN onto Sacramento for an emergency clutch repair and back to SF and to Sac again for multiple drive events...

    alright we've got power but not quite out of the woods just yet... the variable part of the switch doesn't seem to be functioning :? I unplugged the center pole on the switch to confirm, and sure...

    Sorry for the delay but it took a while to track this part down. However with some help from a little electronics shop we were able to find the proper cross reference part (NTE 5637)....

    alright, back at it again at 12:00 because I can't sleep! :)

    - Cord ohmed out at 0.00
    - No continuity between the shaft where the bearing presses on, to the copper segments of the commutator...

    Thanks again for the detailed response :xyxthumbs: I haven't ohm'd the cord but did test for continuity and swapped it with a know good unit. I was thinking the same thing about that riveted piece......
