R8 clear is extremely hard to my knowledge. I would suggest grabbing some 5.5 inch surbuf pads. This combo with m105 should give you the correction your going after.
You need to step up your pad to possibly a more firmer one. Those black and grey finishing pads tend to soak up the polish before your able to work it into the paint. If you have some LC flat pads...
I notice when in use my mf cutting disks on the Bigfoot that the heat produced is pretty radical. The heat potentially loosened up the bonding agent between the backing plate and the Velcro.
I tried sonax full effect and liked it. I tried dp wheel cleaner and liked it. I tried wg uber wheel cleaner and loved it. 2 gallons are now at my disposal :)
