    Re: Top secret!!!!

If development only started a few months ago how do you substantiate the claims that the product will last for 3 years?

    Re: Introducing!! Pinnacle black label!!!

Are the specific wheel and glass coatings better for their purpose than the all Surface Coating that can also be applied to glass and wheels?

    Re: Introducing!! Pinnacle black label!!!

I see the Pinnacle Black Label Leather & Vinyl Coating can be used on plastics. Does it also restore like the GTechniq product or simply protect?

New towel, one of the decent blue AG towels.
    Polish was Menzerna.

Re: Has anyone seen this with GTechniq EXO?

I know what you're saying here but I don't think it was the case here. The only scratches that appeared were in the direction of the wipe when using the panel wipe.

Re: Has anyone seen this with GTechniq EXO?

This is the spray Exo. I got the panel wipe but stopped using it after the first panel I tried it on. It seemed to soften the paint and scratched it all to hell while leaving it hazy. I had to...

Re: Has anyone seen this with GTechniq EXO?

Prep was clay, polish, then a few wipe downs with IPA.

Application was as directed and in the temperature range they require.

This product doesn't seem to have the issue with high spots like...

Re: Has anyone seen this with GTechniq EXO?

    Yup, that's it.

I actually did contact them when I first noticed the issue after the first wash. They were quick to reply but had never heard of or seen it before. By the time I went out to...

Has anyone seen this with GTechniq EXO?

A few months ago I decided to try out some coatings. I was still a little skeptical so I just did some panels on each of our cars to compare to the usual waxes.

On my fiances car I have found a...

Re: Could a coating be an answer to my problems?

So would you say coatings are noticeably harder than Porsche clear?

Like I said, I have my washing technique down. Also, by the time I wash my car it isn't because there is anything that is...

Re: Could a coating be an answer to my problems?

That's one of my thoughts. Even if the coating swirls some at least when I polish that away I'm not polishing as much of the clear coat way.

Could a coating be an answer to my problems?

I have a 996 Turbo in Midnight Blue. Twice in the 7 months I've owned it I have polished it to a beautiful swirl free shine. Not long after the swirls start showing back up. The paint is just so...

    Re: Headlight Restoration

    Good results.

If you have a rotary polisher in the future you should have a go with it using a heavy compound, then, of course, working to finer polishes. Using this method I have restored some...

    Re: Midnight Blue 996 Turbo

I was out in the garage and noticed the reflection of my compressor in the hood and had to take a picture. The back half of the car is pretty dusty. I'll wash it this weekend and take some better...

    Re: Midnight Blue 996 Turbo

    Thanks for the compliments, guys.

I'm not sure how long to expect the BH + Souveran combo to last but if I have to reapply every 6-8 weeks I don't mind. The garaged and not daily driven so it...

    Midnight Blue 996 Turbo

When I picked up my car last fall it was full of swirls so I gave it a good polish. It was good at first (see first pic below in harsh direct sunlight) but quickly swirled again.

    My only complaint about AG...

...is the use of packing peanuts. These make a big mess when unboxing and are difficult to clean up due to static. Use of paper (recyclable) is much preferred.

    Re: How to set pricing?

Yup, exterior only. I didn't want to lock myself into a price either. I told him without seeing the car the best I am going to give him is a range.

    Re: How to set pricing?

I agree. While I get very nice results I don't have the experience professionals have so I am not trying to get top dollar but I do have to make it worth my time.

Is $200 out of line for a job...

I'd love to be able to see that Enzo in person. Insist that the owner brings it to Cars and Coffee in October.
