Re: Wax as you dry products

I'm a big fan of D156 (UQW) for this purpose. Not only does this aid in drying, it leaves great gloss. Finish is slippery smooth and subsequent cleaning is a breeze. FWIW, it also does a nice job...
  3. Re: Moving - What is best way to prepare product for movers?

When I moved (1,500 miles), my mover refused to transport most of my detailing chemicals. You could pre-pack this stuff and label it something creative like "Garage Junk" but remember that these...

    Re: modifying D120

FWIW, I've been adding an ounce of D156 (QID) to my D120 spray bottles for over two years now and love the result. Yields streak free glass and a very slick surface that the MF just glides over.

    Re: Best weed killer?

I have a large paver driveway and my pool area and lanai is all pavers. I use Spectracide or RoundUp in a 2 gallon garden sprayer. Just don't spray on a windy day. I hit the seams every six months...

    Re: WTB: Quality Carnuba Wax

That'd be my question too. IMO, M26 is a beauty wax that is hard to beat in the looks department. Unfortunately, on a DD with minimal garage time, it just doesn't hold on to that stunning look as...

Re: Cleaning Mercedes Benz MB-Tex seats

    My experience...

Mercedes MB-Tex, Lexus Nuluxe, BMW Leatherette, etc. are all faux leather products. They are likely to hold up better than real leather over the long term but that will be...

Re: All in one interior cleaner?

My leather is also heated and cooled via perforations and I use Leather Masters Cleaner and Protection Cream every 3-4 months. In-between I use Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer.

    Re: Durability of the Wax

When I worked in an area of heavy industrial pollution, I found a regular application of D156 (UQW) after my weekly wash would keep the shine, slickness and beading lasting for months.

    Re: Applying wax in SUNLIGHT

FWIW, I had a good experience with Meg's ULW in the full sun. Around 38-40° F with about 10% relative humidity.
  13. Re: Do I need leather conditioner or coating protector?

Define for me what the term Conditioner and what the term Protector means to you.

These are not the same product in the same way that a glaze and a sealant are not the same thing.

Re: Need some help..weird windshield film

My 14 RX350 had a similar issue. The crud was on the windshield and not the rest of the glass. It looked like someone spilled a coating and let it dry. Lexus corporate advised that they have no...

Re: remove scratch in touch screen panel

IME, most touchscreens are plastic and are anti-reflective through a coating or a non-glare surface design. An abrasive polish like 105 will likely damage that screen even further. Many touchscreens...

Re: Polish caused white speckles in black paint!?

Those look to be small stone chips or paint defects like solvent pops. Is this a repaint? Did you wax the car after polishing? It could be the wax or sealant in the pits.

    I would rewash and...

    Re: Buffed out marks reappear?

It looks like clear coat failure to me as well. 1994 = 21/22 year old paint. You can chase this for a while with polish and maybe a coating but if you are planning on restoration, I'd budget for...

Re: removing dried polish from seams

I use a pink eraser along with a knife to cut the eraser to a sharp edge for tight seams. This pulls the residue right out.
