I use a Werner platform from Lowe's. It's a little over 4 feet long, 20 inches tall and about 15 inches or so wide to stand on. The legs fold up for storage.

It can be used on the outside of the glass for water spots.

It really came back after four years without wax. Looks like it's coming along real good. Stay on top of it and you will never have to work that hard again.
