    Re: Product Reccomendations (Honda Paint)

One of the best posts in this thread. I agree 100% with a DA.

    Re: Product Reccomendations (Honda Paint)

Never let 205 be your last polish. It doesn't finish off as great as some of the pro's on here say it does and the soft Honda paint will tell every bit of that story.

    Re: What product/ Color pads

So far it has held up very well in the harsh southern Alabama humidity/rain/heat/pollen. So far it has held up for about 2 months and still beads great. I try to wash my car at least once a week. It...

    Re: What product/ Color pads

I ALWAYS use Collinite 845 for DD status cars. I'll top that with a Natty's wax for added protection most of the time.
  7. Re: DP Interior Surface Protectant for exterior trim?

It'll 'work', but use something designed for this purpose like 303 for trim and Optibond for tires.

    Re: What product/ Color pads

If you have to ask, then you shouldn't do it. You can do ALOT of damage while wetsanding if you don't have the proper equipment and exerience.

Don't take that the wrong way, just heed the advice.
  9. Re: LC backing plate comparisons - new(er) DA design

The KBM is harder on EVERYTHING including the machine. I don't care if it's a PCXP, putting stress like that on ANY machine is hard for it and will shorten tool life.

Re: Polishing Dust stuck on my plastic trim

Adhesive remover and a foam paint brush. Dress with your favorite dressing afterwards. I use 303.

Directly applied I use APC 6:1 after testing a spot.
  12. Re: Porter Cable 7424XP and vibration on setting 6

Let me guess... A Lake Country backing plate? That happens more than often. It has happened to me before and happens even when little pressure has been applied. I have found that it just comes from...
  13. Re: Porter Cable 7424XP and vibration on setting 6

I've NEVER had a pad fly off and I've dried MANY pads with speed 6 in the open air. Are you using the proper counter weight?

Re: 2005 Honda S2000 Rio Yellow

Paint: The correction was done all on rotary on MOST panels. Some panels would just NOT finish out with the rotary. I tried all that I could with the Ultrafina, but it just didn’t want to cooperate...

You have to be quick with it though. I do not suggest directly applying it to the area. I have not tested this on weather stripping and door trim. I know for a fact that it works on the pebbly trim...
