Re: The reality of the 100% Hand Car Wash

Great article Mike. This is why you are one of the people I have the most respect for in the detailing industry, because what you write about is what happens in the real world.

    As someone who was...

Re: Is it Okay to Use a Degreaser on Wheels?

I really don't see a problem with using degreaser on clear coated wheels. I always use a citrus degreaser on OEM painted wheels and I never had any issues.

Re: Meguiar's M105 Ultra Cut vs Ultimate Compound

I am very curious to try Menzerna FG400 myself, since I don't like working with M105, the dust and short working time just drives me nuts.

Re: Meguiar's M105 Ultra Cut vs Ultimate Compound

I never tried that combination. How does it compare to using D300 with the MF pads? So far in my experience I find D300 is a great product when used with the MF pads.

Re: Meguiar's M105 Ultra Cut vs Ultimate Compound

I find Ultimate Compound is much easier to work with and still gives good correction results in my experience.

I really don't like M105 at all, it's just so much of a pain sometimes.

Re: New Menzerna FG 400 - One-Step Show Car Makeover

Great work as always from the detailing master himself!

I did not see any mention of the type of abrasives in this product. Does it have diminishing abrasives?

I order often from eShine myself. I had a few issues having been sent the wrong items. Nobody is perfect, mistakes can happen.

Re: How do you connect the brush?

I have a Flex 3401 and the same type of brush for carpets. The brush is meant for a PC style polisher with a 5/8" thread. You definitely can't attach it to a Flex.

Re: going to the washroom...mobile guys

Why not just ask the customer if you can use their bathroom? I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

Re: going to the washroom...mobile guys

Please tell me you're not doing this in the customer's car.

Sitting in a car and peeing in a Gatorade bottle is obviously much more professional than politely asking the customer "may I use your...

Re: Why to use IronX on any car ! ?

It would be better to use Iron X before you clay since it can dissolve a certain amount of contamination and remove it, which will make your claying step easier and faster.

I think of it this way,...

Re: Menzerna - New Names and Product Numbers

What I believe is they labeled the bottles according to what grit of wetsanding scratches each polish can remove.

    Example:
    IP 2000 – Intensive Polish (PO91E) - This will remove 2000 grit...

Can you recommend me a good paint cleaner?

    Hi everyone,

I am looking for a good paint cleaner that is easy to work with and can remove minor swirls as well.

I use Menzerna PO203 when a client is paying for a 1 step.

    What I am...

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

Don't confuse hot water and steam, they are not the same. The machine he is looking at does not inject steam, it will spray hot water.
