I don't polish with any speed except for 6...

BTW there is no speed 5.5 on the PC....

For a rotary... that's a whole different ball game b/c polishes react differently with the rotary vs. PC.

I understand that ... but there isn't a click between the two... it goes from 5 right to 6 ... nothing in between it = no 5.5.

hahaha that's funny

On the PC I guess it really depends on the product but if you use Optimum prepare to take a little longer to break the polish down. Optimum is good but with a PC it just takes longer for the polish to break down(well at least I've been told). With a rotary the Optimum is really good, this I've seen for my self. XMT on the other hand is really good with the PC, brakes down within 5 to 6 minuits.

Well that's just my opinion.

That is correct, at 5.5, the PC reacts nill vs 5. At about 5.7ish it kicks to speed 6. Anything lower than 4 is a waste on a pc, even feather light pressure on a 4" pad will stop the pad from spinning on speed 3.

I use 4 for applying my liquid wax, remove by hand.
6 for polishes....*sometimes* 5 for the polishing step, but you must use very light pressure otherwise the pad will stop.
