Griot's 3" Polisher?

How is this little beast? Does it have better, same, or worse cut than a Porter Cable?

Is it that much better for spot-buffing hard to reach areas?

I thought I saw somewhere they are coming out with a newer more powerful one, like they did with the 6".

Re: Griot's 3" Polisher?

Yeah something is funky with this machine. It is rated from 5,000-10,000 opm's but the motor is only 240W. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's only about 2 amps....this is all speculation but I'd imagine it would get bogged down like crazy as soon as you start putting some pressure on it.

I use mine under mirrors, on glass, and front b-pillars where space is tight. Works better than by hand !

Thanks, killr. Can you shed some more light on how it cuts, how it feels, etc. I can do my A-pillars just fine with my PC and 4" pads, but during my last polishing session I did my B-pillars with Meguiar's ScratchX 2.0 by hand with a foam applicator pad, hehe.
