Question LC Pads vs. Megs Pads

I have a G100 and have been using Meguiar's yellow 8006 polishing pads and their tan 9006 finishing pads for several years and they have worked great for me so far. Now I would like to try some smaller pads and since Meguiar's does not make a pad smaller than 6.5", I was wondering how the Lake Country pads compare to the Meguiars pads?

I have been looking at the 5.5" CCS pads and I noticed that Lake Country has a lot of different colored pads and I am confused as to what color I would choose. What would be the equivalent of a Meguiar's yellow polishing pad and a Meguiar's tan finishing pad in the Lake Country line?

Re: LC Pads vs. Megs Pads

Meg's burgundy cutting = LC orange light cutting

Meg's yellow polishing = LC white polishing

Meg's tan finishing = LC gray finishing

Re: LC Pads vs. Megs Pads

Thanks.

So are the Orange, White and Grey the most used (popular) pads? I'm curious why they have 9 different color pads to choose from and Meguiar's only carries the 3?

Re: LC Pads vs. Megs Pads

Well, I went ahead and ordered a few white and orange 5.5" CCS pads to use with my G100. Looking forward to trying them out next week sometime. I hope they are as good as or better than the Meguiar's pads.
