best heavy pad that generates less heat (for rotary)

Hello there. I was thinking of buying a new heavy pad for my rotary but I really can't understand what's the best choice for someone who needs the property of generating less heat possible...

When I looked for this kind of property I saw many different technologies but found that they're really similar: Scholl "spider" technology, Lake Country "waffle", Cobra "cross grooves", Chemical Guys "hex logic", Rupes "central hole", etc.

    Thanks for your help

Get a wool cutting pad. Cut with wool for speed and lower heat than foam pads and then follow the cutting step with ANY dual action polisher for a hologram free finish.

This was actually one of my classes at Mobile Tech Expo last week.

I'd recommend the electrified pad I show in my article below,

My recommended buffing pads for the Flex PE14

What type of work do you do?

THanks very much Mike! You're comments are always really helpful. I'm not working at any project right now. I just wanted to use a heavy pad instead of the wool because the feel of the surface is really more "comfortable" to me with foam pads...
I know wool should be the first choice but I just wanted to know if new technologies could be of any help in this case with rotary polishers.
Thanks a lot for your attention

What do you think about cutting microfiber pads?
(I actually don't know if they are good for rotary polishers)

There's a number of threads on this forum about using microfiber pads on rotary buffers and the consensus and my personal experience and opinion is they are a no-go.

If you do want to try a mf pad on a rb then get the pads with the thickest foam backing.

Another pad you might consider is the PFW or Purple Foamed Wool pads. They fibers are encapsulated with wool so they have a little cushion when buffing, kind of like foam. Plus since they area a FIBER pad you get more and better cutting than a foam pad.

    Great Mike, thanks.
Optimum Microfiber Cutting Pad Here I can see they suggest the use with rotary but I trust you, I'll keep them only for the DA polisher.

I never used the purple wool pads and didn't know they give a similar feel so I'll go with these foamed pads. Thanks again
