CG citrus wash

I've been using this product at the recommended 1/2 cap/2 gallons water, and I've noticed it still tends to strip a lot of the last coat of wax. Is it just me or have others had similar experiences?

I may try another product, possibly one of the Dodo Juice or Blackfire shampoos, but I'm open to suggestions.

Re: CG citrus wash

Add more water (or less product) until you are satisfied with the results. What LSP's do you use?

Re: CG citrus wash

What wax are you using? Might be a beauty wax with low durability? or just a low durability wax (meguiar gold class, nxt)?

If you are wanting to try a different soap, I would grab Duragloss shampoo by the gallon, or Optimum shampoo by the gallon. XMT Conditioning shampoo is also really nice.

Never tried Dodo but heard nothing but good things about it, half a oz for 3 gallons of water is win

Re: CG citrus wash

I mix about 3/4oz per wash bucket(4 or so gallons) and haven't seen any LSP failure at that ratio. Even Souveran plays nice with this ratio and it isn't the most durable wax by any means.

Re: CG citrus wash

Yes. But.....It sort of meant to strip wax. Very strong shampoo. CG Glossworkz is better for maintenance wash. The citrus is a nice prep/strip. Probably why you are seeing removal at dilution.

Re: CG citrus wash

I use dodo juice bling wax safe soap. Seem's to work pretty well. But according to cg's site, the regular citrus wash should not remove wax. I saw that there citrus and gloss soap, 1 ounce to 1 gallon will remove product.
