No idea, but what really bothers me about Megs retail products is the 3 different branding/price points for everything. You've got the Ultimate, the Gold Class, and the Deep Crystal wash. And 3 different prices. I have always bought the Deep Crystal wash because it was the cheapest, but after using the fantastic Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish I will move up to the Ultimate wash also. I've used the cheaper Megs waxes/polishes for 15 years and they were OK, but based on the pro's use of the Ult. Compound & Polish on this board I bought some and it is amazing how much better is. (Note: I'm just a DIY hack, not a pro)

The Wash & Wax product will add some protection and the regular wash product will simply remove the dirt and grime. Overall, what determines water sheeting and beading properties is the protection on the paint once the wash step is complete.

I use the low end Meg's Crystal wash, and it sheets nicely now that I have sealant + 845 on top. My only criticism is that it takes a lot: 2 oz per gallon doesn't aound like much until you use 3 gal for wheels and 3 gal for the car--I'm thinking the higher end washes may not be a lot more expensive.
Will move to Ultimate Waterless Wash + once the Crystal is done based on reviews here.

Meg's Gold Class Car Wash is by FAR my favorite OTC car wash. A great product and worth the extra money. I'm not usually a fan of "Wash n' Wax" products, I don't like the film they leave over everything. Especially when I usually use at least a spray wax after a wash anyway

Will move to Ultimate Waterless Wash + once the Crystal is done based on reviews here. | Try the 64oz XMT Gel Shampoo and Conditioner. It is a little more expensive per ounce but will go to 32 washes if you use 2oz. with 4 gal. of water. That's like.... years... if you are a hobbyist. Best bang for the buck from my perspective is DG901. Got some on a trade and have used it twice. XMT beats DG901 easily IMO. The jury is still out as to the comparison with my Mothers California Gold Wash. DG901 seems to be edging out Mother's but I need some more time with it to be sure.
My GO-TO rinseless is UWW+, hands down.

The three levels of car wash are in this order
Deep crystal
gold and nxt
Ultimate
As you go up in price, it is a bit harder to work with , but the price is justified as it has stronger cleaning and more shine from the end result. I would go with the ultimate if you are doing it for a job as it contains wax

The ultimate wash and wax is good but the wax doesn't last long and the price is high. Gold class has good lubricity and suds ing and leaves the paint looking nice. Hyper wash is good bang for your buck. 1oz to 5 gallons isn't bad at all. Nxt I believe is now discontinued.
Plus gold class can sometimes be had for 6 dollars for 64oz if you look around.
