As far as your paint, it's obviously difficult to comment or recommend a plan of attack without seeing the car in person. On the paint... it's your Boxster detail post I was referring to. I can get 80% of the scratches with MF pad and M105. The other 20% are a bear. Likely living with them for now or taking sand paper to it. Don't want to do pass after pass with compound.
On the wheels... I can't get them to every rinse clean with a hose. But the dust does come off easily with a MF towel and rinseless. Can clean a wheel in under a minute and it looks fantastic.
