    New Carrand Tire Shine applicator

Saw this beautifully engineered idea and thought I'd give it a try. I was tired of using the usual foam applicators and having to burn through gloves to avoid having a mess.

Carrand Final Touch Tire Shine Applicator

As far as the ease of use, it was simple and mess free but the durability isn't there.

Unfortunately, I used this on two details I had this morning and hate to say I'm already seeing signs of the foam disintegrating. Now if tires were perfectly smooth all around we wouldn't have this problem but that isnt the case. I had high hopes for this and was disappointed after 8 tires worth of use. Guess it's back to the old foam applicators.

Anyone else have different results? Maybe I just have one from a bad batch.

Seems to me that ANY foam applicator wears quickly. Im considering some kind of short haired (buy not stiff) brush shaped similarly to that. May have to invent one.

I've had 2 tuff shine applicators since February and they have held up great. Just thought this idea was perfect for speeding up the process so wanted to give it a shot.

I think Carrand beat you to it: Carrand Brush & Shine Tire Dressing Applicators, tire brush, tire shine applicator

Griot's also sells a curved applicator that takes MF pads that are like a SurBuf pad, but they don't carry them here.

That is why i HATED tire gel until............

Carrand Brush & Shine Tire Dressing Applicators - 2 Pack

THESE ARE A GAME CHANGER! I have had the same results with foam applicators. A PITA. After using the above brush once, it changed everything! If it gets dirty, just soak in a good APC. It applies any gel with ease and perfect results.

I have been using the yellow foam things a lot now and they definitely can get to the part of the tire against the ground (if you do not like to use a block or move vehicle to get access). They are cheap so they do not need to last as along as the more expensive applicators.

+100 on the Carrand brush. It works particularly well on low-profile tires.

I should have stuck with what's been getting great reviews but I figured since it was made by Carrand I wouldn't be going wrong
