Something doesn't sound right, as WB has yet to fail me.

Man am I glad to hear that
I'll be using it for the first time this week.

How well does it work diluted 4:1?
I had planned to cut it 50/50

1:1 is my normal dilution ratio.

Never had a problem with WB, works great for me at 4 to 1. Rinse, spray WB, agitate , rinse and wear PPE. My go to is Megs non-acid wheel and tire at 2 to 1.

Yes, 4 parts water 1 part WB. I have the Meg's WB bottle to ensure proper dilution.

I'v been using WB for over 4 years now and only had 1 issue with wheels that already had failing clear coat. The rat nasty cars that I get in my shop usually have gnarly baked on brake dust that's been there years....love me my WB for sure, works great and is rather cheap.

I also bought a gallon a while back and have used it 3 times. First on a Mercedes-Benz stock wheels clear coated. They were really neglected and had coats of caked on break dust. I first rinsed then sprayed WB @ 4:1. First 2 wheels after heavy agitation came out beautiful after rinse, not one speck remained.

Now on the other 2 wheels I sprayed the same, let sit for 30 seconds and no agitation and rinsed with PWasher. They also cleaned up well, but then upon closer inspection I noticed that on this 2 wheels the clear had cracked (real small cracks almost like tick marks) at random spots!¿ I don't know if they were there before but sure are very visible now. Also you can't feel the cracks with your finger nail.

Today I tried on some polished clear coated wheels and it worked good on 3 but the last one had some clear peeling off and decided to try it anyways....WELLLL.... that didn't go as planned because I now have a black stain on the lip....Oops

I will sell the remaining and get something safer for all finishes
