Meguiars Ultimate Wash and Quik Detailer

Unless you are wealthy enough to own some landed properties or condos with personal or sheltered parking lots, cars here are subjected to harsh weather conditions.

My Honda CTR was left untouched for a fortnight under constant rain and fierce sunlight at the equator.

Meguiars products are readily available locally so decided to try out the Ultimate Wash and QD.

Did the usual wash with UW, really nice to work with and leaves a squeaky clean exterior with decent shine. Then I finished off with Ultimate QD.

At first glance, the QD didn't seem to add on something impressive. Megs says that the polymer will cure in 12 hours so decided to wait. After 15 hrs, the weather held and I took out my iPhone cam and took these shots.

Too bad I didn't take the initial shots. There was a huge difference definitely after the curing!

Great products for the average consumer. The QD beads for 3-4 weeks with weekly washes, I would say it's worth every cent.

Looks great. I also like using the same detail spray when I use either meguiar's ultimate wax or M21.

I wipe down with Megs UQD every fortnight so didn't really know how long the beading actually last.

Tried a couple of other QDs and although they can be easy to use and even recommended for trims and glass, the Megs simply outshine and outlast them hehehehe.....and I don't seem to have issues with them getting on the trims and glass, just wipe them off. Gonna be my fav QD.

Quick detailers are usually used as a replacement for the wash when the car is only dusty (no actual dirt on it).

I suggest you try Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Wax instead for when you wash the car. It's probably more durable than the quick detailer, and it will probably give a better shine too.

UQD is some good stuff, I use it often after a full wash and at times after a RW
Really gives you a great shine and so easy to work with.
In the winter months I use UQW, leaves the paint smooth and protected.
Can't go wrong with either one.

Yes, for the price, hard to beat. I also use UQD to remove bird lime and tree sap, really easy to remove with the UQD.
