Re: Review & How-To: Meguiar's D115 Rinsefree Express Wash and Wax

Try lowering the concentrate amount. It works just as well and when you go to 20:1, it's the same cost as UWW+. I plan on using this at the 10:1-12:1 ratio.

Re: Review & How-To: Meguiar's D115 Rinsefree Express Wash and Wax

Since I no longer detail for a living and just obsess over my own two cars and a few lucky family and friends cars I don't mind the added cost honestly. I love how crazy slick it feels at 4:1 while in use like it's really encapsulating the dirt and letting the MF towel slide across and scoop it up safely. Plus it's leaves behind one of the slickest feelings of nearly anything I've used which I was a bit shocked at.

Some of the WW products don't have quite that slick working feel and feel much more watery like they're light on the cleaners, polymers, waxes and all that good stuff that makes WW not just colored water. DP is like that, it's a bit lackluster when put side by side with the others. It seems perfectly safe to use but if you use it on one panel then D115, UWW+ or Pinnacle right after it you notice how much more watery Vs slippery it feels. Hope that makes sense in text since it's something that easier to feel than verbalize.

Re: Review & How-To: Meguiar's D115 Rinsefree Express Wash and Wax

I just want to follow up on this review. I've used this product more now (about 3 times after this review) and I get amazed even more. Not only does it clean very well, safe and effectively but it produces a brilliant shine! This product leaves the surface with an amazing gloss and depth. And I'm only using it at 10:1-12:1! What more if I use the suggested 4:1! In addition, it makes the surface extremely slick!

I know for sure that when I run out of both my D115 and UWW+, I will for sure buy another gallon of this product. IMHO, it is that good.

Congrats Caleb! I promise you will not regret your decision.

However, I wouldn't recommend using this as rinseless mainly because of the cost. For rinseless, the recommended dilution is 4:1. So if you want to use 1 gallon of water, you need to use 1/4 of your concentrate or 32oz of concentrate. It's just too much IMO. If you want rinseless, I would highly suggest trying out D114. For waterless, this ROCKS!

Waterless is what I meant, im sorry lol. I actually ordered some D114 as well . I am going to try this out at the 4:1 at first (just make a small amount) but im also going to try the 10:1 that you recomended. Thanks again for your great review.

    Great review!

I can't wait to finish my current stock of Pinnacle Waterless and Pinnacle Rinseless washes and give this and D114 a try!

I like the idea that the wax in D115 is the same as D156, that way, I'm just adding layers of protections instead of adding differing levels of protection.

    Keep them reviews coming!

On AG description for rinseless is "simply add a couple ounces to a 5 gallon wash bucket, soak a wash mitt or Microfiber towel, and wash the vehicle one section at a time"

Now I really appreciate the review you did on d115 and it's because of it that I use it at a different dilution (8:1) But I haven't read or heard of anywhere saying rinseless needs 32oz of concentrate to a gallon of water.
