What I WOULD like to see, is the product on whitewall tires. Whitewalls are so difficult to keep clean and look different than black rubber. I want to see the difference on a wide whitewall tire.
Wasn't questioning the validity, just curious about a more me-applicable scenario.

And if those tires are 2 years old, I'm going to buy this s*** right now.

You can see the date of manufacturing in this pic, yes I know its not the date they got put on the car. The 7th week of 2011.

One 6 oz. bottle of Tuf Shine Tire Clearcoat goes a LONG way. If you plan on doing more than one vehicle you'll want to pick up another bottle of the Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner.

The process will be the same, regardless of the tire's age. If the tire is dry rotted or missing tread it won't magically fix it but it will definitely make it look good.

Thanks for a great review. Have you (or anyone else here) tested the durability of this product at all.... I am just curious to find out how long the look actually lasts from someone who has used it first hand, as opposed to blindly believing the manufacturer's claim.

How permanent is "permanent" ? All tire shine products look great when you first apply them. What will this stuff look like a week or two down the road?

I define permanent with this product as it exceeds the lifespan of convention product by over 10 times. I put on an extra coat each month - but it doesn't really need it. Rain will not affect it. It does fade after a while, I haven't gone longer than say 40 days without topping it up. Any conventional product would be gone for me after the first week or first rain.

So while its not permanent like OptiCoat, you can wash it with carwash or APC and it won't degrade. Blast away with a pressure washer and it won't be affected.

I had it on my daily driver for a couple months and it was still going strong before I removed it. The shine slowly diminishes over time but it's still obvious a tire dressing has been applied. It's not unheard of for people to get over a year's worth of durability on a vehicle that isn't driven every day.

Hey Nick, so how would you go about removing it? Using their tire cleaner?

I actually had to use Meguiar's Super Degreaser and a stiff scrub brush.
