Question Foam Gun Showdown, possibility: Autogeek vs MTM Hydro

Alright Autogeeks, with this week in the past I have been very busy detailing and washing cars. After reviewing my washing process and water I use during the day, week, month along with the soap I'm using for all these washes I know a Foam Cannon will cut down on soap I am using.

From what I've read searching through old post about these cannons, I'm no where near set on either the Autogeek Foam Cannon or the MTM Hydro Foam Lance.

- Points have been made they look the same. Although the bodies are slightly different.
- No one (that I've found) has compared their internals.
- There has been NO Head to Head comparsion.

I'm willing to buy both an Autogeek Cannon and the MTM Hydro Cannon and compare them unbiased to all of you.

I will be using my eletric Craftsman 1700PSI Max, 1.3 GPM pressure washer in this review.

Only this is I have yet to completely figure out what I need as adapters...
For the Autogeek I believe I just need the Bosch adapter. Looks closes to my adapter on the nipple and washer and where it twist and looks in the gun. Then, not sure if the brass male nipple connector threads into the Bosch adapter. If someone already with the MTM could also help me find its adapter.

Bosch Pressure Washer Fitting
Heres the Bosch adapter that connects to my pressure washer...

What do you all think, does that look right to you too?

So would you all be interested in a unbiased comparison review of the Autogeek Cannon and the MTM Hydro???

What soap would you all like me to compare with the two guns; I'm think DP Xtreme Foam.

Chris, can't be more right than this, what a generous offer!!! :-)

I was thinking they are same product sold under different brand/rebranding, however, let's find out by your field testing.

Re: Foam Gun Showdown, possibility: Autogeek vs MTM Hydro

I have seen on another forum that the MTM foam gun foams better than the regular foam gun.
Right now, I have the regular one and the foam seems to run off within a minute or two.

Re: Foam Gun Showdown, possibility: Autogeek vs MTM Hydro

Doesnt the autogeek one come with a quick connect ?

If that is your electric power washer from the zoom picture on sears site it looks to have a quick connect wand... which is great..

I don't think the bosch fitting will fit with the quick connect..

Yep from the picture enclosed it looks like a quick connect that you pull down a bit no?

if so the MTM should come standard with that .

The Autogeek cannon comes with a "pressure gun fitting". Which connects to my pressure washer gun.

The photo you link is the quick disconnect to switch out pressure niddles (1%, 5%, 15% spray pattern) which is at the end of the wand, which then connect to the gun/ tigger handle.... This is what I need the Bosch (I believe thats the right fitting).

I read over the MTM but I don't know if its pressure gun fitting will fit my gun/trigger either.

Here (below) is the quick disconnect wand that has the quick release spray head at the end of it (photo you posted).

Here (below) is the part I need to order with the foam cannons. This inserts into the gun of the pressure washer.

Here (below) is what I'm talking about in general about the wand inserting into the pressure washer gun (on right side of photo). **replace K with photo above item F.
