I have gotten into the habit of wearing gloves (cheaper is better), anytime I work with chemical products. I learned the hard way when I found that alot of the car care products were drying and causing rashes on my hand's. In fact if you hold onto a microfiber towel long enough it will draw moisture out of your hands. It all get's down to a personal preferences and what you think is safe.

You're not the only one....my girlfriend has suggested I wear gloves more than once. The chemicals can be a bit harsh and getting the dirt out from around my nails is annoying but I can't stand sweaty gloves and when I'm washing the water gets in there anyway.

As for gloves, its just not worth the risk of chemical damage imo, always better to be safe!

Just the other day I got paint on my hands that I cleaned off with paint thinner followed by regular hand soap. They felt really dry at first but then after a couple hours they were back to normal. I inherited my dad's hands; he was pretty rough with them but they were amazingly always baby-soft.
