Another variable I've found important is the hardness of the clear. This probably affects how easily iron gets embedded into the paint.
Great review as per usual!
Ahhh!! Thanks for your additional experience about paint hardness.
Thank you

Other than that excellent review as always Cee Dog. I always enjoy reading your reviews as they are extremely thorough
I was just browsing the store this am and noticed the TarX is now 1$ cheaper for the eco pack than for the bottle.
I didn't check the rest of the products but this is a good move by AG.

I just ordered some on Bogo so I'll get to try this out soon. Does Iron x + clay get everything or is it worth it to try a second Iron X application to see if anything remains?

Re: Review: CarPro Iron X
forgot to mention that spreading it around with a sponge right after spraying helps use way less product. Great tip Corey!
Hopefully it does not affect the amount of iron that gets dissolved.
next time I get a white car, I'm going to spray half the trunk lid to cover it, maybe 3 sprays. Then I'm going to use 1 spray on the other half and spread it around with a sponge. After dwell time, agitate both sides and rinse. Dry, then spray iron x again to see what's left over...
I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.

It all depends on the condition of the vehicle, how crazy you want to get, and/or how special the vehicle is. Using Iron X and then clay is going to leave your paint pretty friggin clean. If it's a special car or worth it to you applying Iron X again will often times still find more iron.

Thanks Tim! I'm pretty postive it does not affect how much iron gets dissolved if you spread it right away.
Btw: I've been playing with after the 5 minute +/- timeframe agitating it real good with my sponge after 5 and then letting it sit a bit more and agitating as I rinse it off. Using a sponge works great imo.

Re: Review: CarPro Iron X
have you noticed that if you agitate it and let it sit some more, sometimes fresh bleed starts happening?

With all of these dire warnings about letting it dry in the sun, what happens if it does? Apocalypse?

Ahh! I have been doing this on dark paint so I couldn't be sure but I felt like it was doing good things. I assume the agitation exposes more iron particles. Thanks Tim!
