Here's a review on some Duragloss products I tried recently. I think reviewing is important because Internet is there for this purpose; share information.
#371 Odor absorber: Strong chemical scent.
My grand-parent bought a 2001 car with only 10 000 miles! The car had a bad bad smell in it because it was never driven, always closed! And the last person who had it is used to smoke. I can say the odor is pretty controlled now but I had to clean all the seat with a extractor and it took me 3 application and 40% of the bottle to fight the bad scent.
Also, the #371 have a scent itself and it's pretty strong. You need at least 1-2 hours before driving the car.
8/10. Work great but take a bit too much of product in my opinion. Will try Meg #23 next time.
#755 Nu glass: Smell like MINT. Nice smell
I tried it on my WINTER BEATER, because I read on this forum that it could remove small swirl because of the abrasive it have. I applied with a 4 inch Orange LC pad with a rotary at speed 2. Worked the product apprx. 2 minutes, the time it dry completly.
To be honest, I couldn't find any big difference after. But, at night, I noticed I had more swirl than before. I guess the sh%t etched on my Windshield was hiding more swirl to my windshield!
A big + is that even if it splat on your car. Don't worry you can buff it VERY EASILY.
8.5/10 because of the price compared to DP glass restorer.
#881 Metal polish: Scent is strong. don't put your face close to your work!
This is the hidden gem IMO. I tried 2 other metal polish and this one is by far the best. I had stain on my exhaust that BLACK MAGIC couldn't remove and at my surprise. DG MP did remove! I even did a test spot INSIDE my exhaust and i could see the metal inside the pipe. It removed all the gas caked inside the pipe.
9.5/10. change the scent and you get a 10/10!
#521 Detail Marine spray : scent of tropic?? Gave me a headache! Worst scent ever.
I read on AG that this spray had anti-static properties. I must say it's true. My car had less dust after 2 days. But compared to my PB QD+, PB was more slick than #521 and I didn't find that it added more shine to my car.
IMO it's a 2/10 because the scent gave me headache!! I won't ever use it again.
Overall: Duragloss seem to make very good product. A copy of Poorboy's in term of price and product offer but DAMN! They need to really work on their scent. beside NU-Glass it all smell very bad. I'm using over 2000$ of detailing product and this is the first time I'm complaining about bad scent.
Even if duragloss ask 1$ more of every product and have a great smell, they would still sell without a problem!
