Thumbs up Review of Lime Prime and more

So the nice UPS man dropped off a package of goodies from Autogeek (who doesn't like to get one of those!). The package had an orange pad, black pad and the Dodo Juice Lime Prime (pads are Lake County).

My truck is my product test bed. I cleaned off one section, and this is what it looked like (sorry iPhone photos).

So I decide to break out the black pad and the Lime Prime, PC7274 speed 4. It did a great job of enchaining the deep wet look, but failed to remove the defects. Not a big surprise as that's not what its made for, but I took the chance anyway. I do have to say that whoever designed the lid deserves a medal. Its not a flip up, more of a push down 1/2 the other half goes up..brilliant!!

As I had the new orange pad...I grabbed my SIP and applied a small amount and hit it at speed 5 on the old PC7424. It took out all be the deepest defects, which you now have to look really hard to see. I then followed that up with the Lime Prime, finding what the product is really made for. It added the back the gloss that was lost to SIP.

Here are some after photos, the last one is a reflection off the paint.

Oh, the light I used is my Surefire 9P Original.

Conclusion, as far as a defect removal product, I don't see Lime Prime working too well but as each paint is different I may change my mind. The other possibility is for removing slight defects after a car is fully detailed, for maintenance use. As long as you know the limitations and intended use for Lime Prime I say buy it, and in the 500ml bottle if you can afford it. I'll defiantly be using it from now on. I haven't tried the Lite version, so that's also a product to keep my eye on.

Great write up. The lime prime only works on fine swirls, anything greater need a stronger polish. It does leave a nice finish. Did you like the constant smell of lime while you were working?

I didn't notice the smell, but I wasn't using a whole lot of product.
