Are all orange degreasers the same?

I've done sone forum searches and I didnt find any reviews for orange degreaser. Are all orange degreasers the same?

I use Chemical Guys Orange degreaser, and it has never failed me. But it is $30/ gallon. There is LA Orange degreaser at the Dollar Store for $2/gallon.

    Has anyone compared oranges?

Some are similar, but some of the highly concentrated solvent ones are on a different level.

I started out using 3D Orange 88 then went to LTA. Then I went to the concentrated solvent one.

LTA and Orange 88 are great cleaners but they seem more like a boosted APC. They will foam when agitated and work well for wheels and tires.

The solvent one does not foam at all. Not great on wheels and tires, but really good on other things. It's great on cloth, vinyl, and carpets and doesn't seem to leave much residue behind. At high concentrations it eats tar, ink, and gum.

The dilution ratios are much better for the solvent ones. I use from 1 to 6 ozs per gallon.

I still use LTA as my wheel and tire cleaner.

Downside to the solvent one is I have to buy 5 gallons at a time.

    •No.

    •First:
    -True "orange" degreasers will contain
    some % of d-limonene...obtained from
    different areas/sections of citruses.
-Following are the two main types of
"Orange" Cleaners, of which: has piqued
my interest over the years (~25, or so).

    I.
    •There are the citrus oil-based
    d-limonene cleaning products:
-made from the oil found in the oranges' peel
    -they will not cause corrosion/rust.

    II.
    •There are the citrus water-based
    d-limonene cleaning products:
-made from the pulp and juice of the oranges
-they will be corrosive (citric acid)

    •D-limonene/(orange) infused cleaning
products are intended to replace cleaning
    products that contains ingredients deemed
    to be: less acceptable as-being-as-"safe"
as d-limonene. Some of these ingredients
    (chemicals) are: 2-Butoxyethanol, Sodium
    Hydroxide, etc.

    With that being said...

•The LATA Orange Degreaser contains a
    "d-limonene blend"...a blend that contains
    2-Butoxyethanol. It also contains some
    Hydroxy Sodium. {OOOPS...Go figure!}

Price, IMO, is often not the best guideline
to use for the selection of products.

How does one know if a product (ex. LATA Orange) is citrus-water or citrus-oil based?

Sodium hydroxide is lye. So essentially the kind with sodium hydroxide is purple power. I dont want that.

I suppose that means that the
    LATA Orange Degreaser is also
going to be included on your:
"I don't want that" list, as well?
