Can someone explain why I would not want anything left behind after a rinseless wash?
This is 1 of the main reasons why: Because your finish can go from this...
To this: Due to the gloss enhancing conditioners in Shampoo Plus. It can sometimes degrade the beading characteristics of your lsp.
...And in even worse cases can transform your lsp into it, leaving you with an inferior layer of protection. IME that's what happens when spray waxes are used as a "drying aid" or a "topper"
Maybe it has to do with weather you will be polishing or not?
Oh, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to polish off anything a rinseless wash leaves behind.
I mean sure, if after the wash you are going to apply a coating, then it's silly to have a wash that is going to leave "wax" behind. But certainly whatever a rinseless like ONR leaves is going to be removed by your pre-coating solvent wipe. Did anyone wash with D114 and then apply a coating without an IPA/Eraser/other coating prep wipe?
But I don't want to get sucked into this discussion so I'm going to put my tinfoil hat on now.
