Re: Review: McKee's 37 Wax Remover for Plastic
I can't help but think this product is about 15yrs. late from the time when it would've been a Real hit..
And before I get hit with all kinds of counter arguments stating otherwise, I'll leave this little reminder from that infamous Nu Finish thread where the repeated quote went something like "it stains trim and it's garbage"!

Btw, don't anyone take this post too serious ok.😁

Yeah, I agree with Don on this, great review indeed! Brave too! Would've been a nightmare if McKee's didn't do the job. Tell me good Sir - do you think a softer brush would've had the same results? Or no brush at all, say - using a micro fibre instead? I'm getting a little worried about reading reviews from you too . . . . shopping cart is getting a little pricey.

Thanks so much Hammer77! Yeah if it can remover PL then wax shouldn't be a problem.

Looks like a good product to prep the surface for trim restorers as well.
I always tape off the area, but it's good to know that it won't cause harm to clear coat should you accidentally splash some about. That's excellent - one less thing to worry about.
Thank you BrutalNoodle! I didn't think about that - sounds like it would work!

Thanks a lot Kevin! I appreciate that.
Yeah I think if you remove it after 30 mins of application or something quick, water could do that LOL!

I strategically put this on the back passenger side and rear so that I wouldn't be reminded of it too much hahaha!

Thank you so much Aaryn! I sincerely appreciate it.
Yeah I'd kick myself if the McKee's wax remover wasn't able to remove all the PL residue. Mainly because I did such a huge area.
I think a softer brush or a MF towel would work but I'm not 100% certain.

Great demonstration of this product, and bonus points for letting it bake on there!!!
Just wondering, were these plastic areas previously treated with any dressing or protectant, and with what and when?

Thank you, Mantilgh!
The side skirt had UTTG+ but it was applied a long time ago. Here's the review I did for that:
Review, Comparison And Testing: Carpro PERL and Ultima Tire And Trim Guard Plus
The rear diffuser doesn't have any dressing at all.
