I just used mine for the first time I noticed the machine gets hot while using. I am not using that much force on the machine

Also I noticed the machine bogs down on the low speed setting is this common ?

I was using lake country pads with the pinnacle wax

size 6.5

Mine gets rather warm too when using.

I find it best on the 5-6 settings. Keep firm pressure on it though. light pressure and it wont spin well. sounds weird, but it works.

also try 5.5" pads. they are much better to work with.

I myself stopped using the LC pads about a year ago.I feel I could not get enough from my PC.I started using the Megs Microfiber Cutting pads and have had really good luck using them.I do not use the Megs compounds though.Here are a few pics of removing a gnarly scratch on a Stangs hood...

use a 12 gauge extension cord and the motor will run cooler
