Is the 7427XP powerful enough to remove factory pinstripe

Hey guys I got the 7424XP coming to me with 4 Lake County Pads and some Collinite 845 from eshine.ca I plan to do a full paint correction, but I need to know if the PC is powerful enough to remove my factory pinstripe? I don't want it to remove as I like it. Would it be safe to tape over it, or can I just leave it alone?

    Cheers
    Phil

Tape them off so you don't buff on them.

    I agree.
Until you have a bucket load of hours under your belt an you are confident in what you can and can't do with you're machine it's always better safe than sorry!!

Don't worry about them. IT'S PAINT
Your not going to do any damage to them.
Unless your compounding the shite out of them.
Just wax over them, they need wax too.
    It's paint.
It would take and hour of buffing in one spot to remove them.
So just going over them wont hurt at all.

If I had to tape off every car I touched I'd be out of business because I'd never finish the job.
Taping is over rated and isn't necessary if you know what your doing.

I hate tape. Mainly because a little bit of glue gets in the towel and smears all over. I

I agree with the no tape issue. I've been buffing for cars for 33 years and never taped off one and my orbital is 2300 RPM. It's the technique and products you use.

I would think that the pin strip is more of a decal / vinyl application rather than paint. Either way, I agree, no need to tape off. You wont do any damage.

oh yea. it might be vinyl. So just be a little carful not to "pull" the vinyl up.
