| No the area of sunkeness is smaller than the size of the backing plate. Pad has been washed and dried but the sunken area is stil very noticeable. When the pad was hot it seemed liked there was absolutely no foam at all between the velcro backing and the face of the pad. I could press right through with no effort at all. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable using this pad again.
