New to the PC7424

Hi guys this is my first post on the forum and after shopping a few years on AG I finally bought a PC it should arrive soon. I am looking foward to use it I went with the edge system Blue and red pads. I just bought a new car( Black 07 Murano) 3 weeks ago. I washed it last week for the first time, I put Klasse AIO topped with the pinnacle liquid spray wax- looks great but if I look very closely(may not be noticeable to 98%of the population) I see a light swirl here and there. Should I just continue to use the AIO and use Klasse Sg or should i get a polish?

I was going to use AIO and SG topped with Collinite 845 when the pc comes.

Sorry for being such a newbie with the PC- should i apply all the above (klasse and collinite) with the pc and also buff off with the pc? or apply and hand wipe off?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Vinny

Welcome to the board.

I just started using a PC a few months ago too and have asked myself many of the same questions. I've come to the conclusion that I probably won't be able to keep my daily driver 100% swirl free all of the time so I plan on polishing once or twice a year. Hopefully correct washing and drying techniques can keep me needing only a light polish and white pad, but that's me.

I've only used my PC for polishing and have always applied paint cleaners (K AIO and WG PPE) by hand as well as sealants and waxes. I know lots of people use the PC for this, I just enjoying doing it by hand.

Hey buddy. Hope you enjoy your PC when you get it.. Like makdaddy said, keeping a daily driver 100% swirl free is just too hard, yeah it'll be flawless after you polish it, but eventually some swirls will show up even with the right washing and drying techniques. I havn't used Klasse AIO, but with your wax, you can apply with hand or machine, and buff off with hand or machine, it's all up to you. May I suggest in your next order you order XMT 360. This will clean the paint, remove any light swirls, and seal it. It's a very great product and can be topped off with a wax right after applying it.

Just remember, the PC7424 is very clear coat friendly. With a combo such as XMT 360 and a white pad or orange pad, your removing very very little clearcoat. This is why you can't burn your paint with a PC, it doesnt remove much clear coat, unlike the rotary, in the wrong hands and you could remove it all :P Well good luck with your car and good luck keeping it looking sharp!
