Speed of PC

What is a good speed to apply polish and glazes? I start slow like 1500 and speed up around 4 or so. Is that the correct way to do it?

Generally I'd say 1 to 3 for glazes and 4 to 6 for polishes. Depends on what your goal for that polish is.

Does anyone else notice that the PC doesn't increase speed from about 5 to 5.9, they when you hit 6 it hits a whole new speed? Almost doubles when I put in on 6.
