Backing Plates

Sorry if this has been asked before. I have only used the E2K pads with my PC and I am looking at trying different pads that require a backing plate.

So here are my questions.
#1 Do you suggest a 5" flexible or stiff velcro backing plate for 6.5 pads.

#2 What pads do you full time detailers use? Looking for quality not qty.

#3 Here is the big debate ?? What do you think of Meguiars pads?

Thx Gary

1. 5" flexible.

I called Lake Country and spoke to a tech about this and he suggested the 5" flexable backing plate with the 6.5" pads. That's the same advise given by Autogeek.

Never used Megs so can't help you, but you won't go wrong with lc ccs pads.

smaller backing plate is common with larger pads, so you can rotate of axis without burning paint with rubber backing touching paint at high speed. Lake Country Pads are considered about the best in industry , not withstanding the Edge offerings.
