Which product goes with what pad?

Yea, so im a little confused as to which pads i should be using.

I have:

Menz SIP
Menz Nano
XMT 360
NTS7 Paint Creme (it was cheap so i picked it up to try).

Any help?

SIP, Nano, and 360 can be used with any pad.

Ok, if i have a black car with moderate swirls, what would be my "theoretical" path?

And the pads i have are:
yellow
orange
white
black
blue

I got the UDM ultimate kit (the one with all the pads).

Well it depends, on how much cut you want to achive, but here is what i would use.

SIP: Med cut to heavy pad
Nano: light cut pad, or finishing pad
XMT360:Med to light cut pad(finishing pad also if you want)
NTS7:Med cut, light cut pad or finishing pad

Remember these are just guide lines, there is plenty of room to play around. For example you might want to use XMT360 with a med cut pad rather than a light cut pad to increase cutting power for a finish with moderate swirls. Personaly i would use SIP with a med pad followed by NTS7 or 360. you could also do SIP followed buy nano than awax. some times you might be able to get away with just 360 or NTS7 creme with a med cut pad.

Depends on what kind of car it is. And what brand pads are those?

Itll either be SIP or Nano. 360 has fillers in it, so it wont get 100% out, itll hide some.

They are the CCS pads, and the car is a 2004 E500.

So basically:


SIP: Yellow to Orange
Nano: White to Grey/black
XMT360: White to Grey/Black OR blue
NTS7: Same as above

how does that sound? I will be starting with the Nano, so should i try that on a white pad for starters?

For medium swirls on a car with medium clear coat hardness nano isnt going to cut it from my experience with it, i used it on a porsche c4 with a soft clear coat(light cutting pad), and medium/heavy swirls and it wasnt strong enough. You know the phrase to "start with the least agressive method and work your way up" well dont follow that word by word, for example, if you have a car with heavy swrils, you dont start off with a finishing polish, that would be a waste of time. Go ahead and start off with something a little weaker than you think will work , then step up if you need to. Try a small section with the NTS7 creme or 360 with a med cut pad, and see if that works, if not step up to SIP with a light cutting pad, then SIP with a med cutting pad.

Benz E500 black with moderate swirls, Id start off with SIP and orange pad. If that doesnt work then step up to yellow pad. Then go over it with Nano and white pad, top with wax.

Ya, if your car is a 2004 its probably going to have a ceramiclear coat, which is basicly a super hard scratch resistant clear coat. start with SIP like D&D said. I didnt see that you said it was a 2004 MB at first.

Yep. MB started ceramic scratch resistant clear in 2003.
