OK I hit the hood in a 2x2 section. After the third app. spots seemed to fade quit a bit.
Should I stop or continue?

You got that right!! It is now raining. Crud. I need to tape the seem off. Looks like some burn through on the edge but not bad. I'll give it a try.

I will. The edge of the fender is a dark brown. Did not think to tape. I will now. Looks like a lot of work ahead. I will post a pic when it stops raining.

Well, crud. Looks like spots may have faded a bit, but still there. Afraid to go furthur. Surface is as smooth as glass. The thing does have 100K miles on it. Maybe hope for a hail storm???
