| | | its probably normal... and you dont need wave pads, just get the regular edge 2000 foam pads, wave pads are mainly for rotary polishers becaus of the heat transfer.
the PC is a unique machine. you really cant compare it to another orbital. |

| | | If you say you "barly hold on at speed 5" something is wrong, i dont find my PC hard to hold at speed 5 or 6 myself.
Do you hold it against the car or out in the air?

| | | It will vibrate like a banshee in the air...need to have on a surface...its a free wheeling concentric drive....try in on a surface next..polish your washing machine to get a feel of it...by holding in the air the energy transfer does not go to the pad...it vibrates the machine..
I notice when I am polishing and when I am ready to shut it off I lift it off the paint..the vibration gets intense then..much less on the paint..

| | | Does it spin freely without being on? Meaning, take the pad and simply turn it with your fingers. Does it spin with ease?? |

| | | I guess I'll echo the above. The PC does vibrate. I use 7.5" pads with a 5" counterweight and don't have any issues so your 6.5" should be fine. If you were expecting to buy a machine with a 6" counterweight you should have bought the PC 7336. The 7424 comes with the 5" but luckily you can buy the 6" if you feel the need to. Make sure the pad is perfectly centered and make sure you actually use it this time and then report back to us.... | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
