Has any one had any sort of problems with these wave pads? are they less affective ?
I like the ccs pads better or even the flat pads. I beleive that the wave pads are great for a rotary.

jimmie, what i was saying is that my pc is having some balancing issues and that i belive that it could be caused by the counter weight being too small for the 6.5 inch pad, because the counter weight that came with my pc is for a 5 inch pad. so i was thinking of buying some edge 2000 wave or edge 2000 DA pads because they have nice system to insure proper pad centering and because they are .5 inch smaller. plus i also plan on buying a 6" counter weight

Vibration is the nature of the beast with a PC....How much vibration you have is hard to tell...I use a 5" in weight on 6.5 inch pads and it vibrates..but not like you say yours does..I even changed weights and not any real difference....

I mainly use 5 or 5.5 in pads now..made a world of difference...

now going to the edge may help..but you would be better off with the flat pads..the wave pads are mostly designed for rotary ..the flats pads will give you more surface contact with less downward pressure wers as the waves you will have to compress them more to get more pad contact on the paint..that will cause the PC to sorta bog and heat up...

another thing is to try the PC with out the handle...and use one hand on the black plastic cover in front of the machine..the removal of the handle does seem to reduce the vibrations...

do not exert a lot of downward pressure and do not over load the pads with polish...saturated pads will cause a out of balance also...not that you did..just a tip...

Hope you get this squared away..

Al

the weight will likely be a product never used, upgrading to Edge system is one we all agree is a nice choice. Vibrations however, are likely here to stay.

Yes the counter weight will not make a difference, no one yet has found any difference between the two. As for vibration... its a DA PC yes it vibrates. Nothing we can do to change that. But if you need help give me a call I am in the office today.
Thanks

You need to compare it to another pc. Apples to apples.
