please read! final plan, I think

Hey ya’ll, I have a PC coming tomorrow and I can’t wait to use it! I have already gone over my plan with some members of this forum. I wanted to check my final plan with everyone. Here is goes…

Step 1: Wash w/ pinnacle, shmitt and dry w/ guzzler and leaf blower.

Step 2: Alcohol 50/50 wipe down, to remove Z5 pro. (nothing else works, Zaino is tuff stuff).

Step 3: Tape off rubber seals and trim. Also, tape off all 3m clear bra edges.

Step 4: Apply #3 w/ white pad on test spot. Wipe down test spot w/ alcohol mix to clear all polish fillers. If white pad is not cutting it, apply try again, or use orange pad.
#3 will only be used on hood, roof, and trunk.

Step 5: Don’t think the PC will fit under my wing. So I will use the 2-sided foam applicator pad to apply #3. Should I buff the polish until it clears, as it does w/ the PC?

Step 6: Use 360 w/ white pad on all other panels, and the grey pad on the panels that I applied the #3. On all the spots I can’t use the PC on (i.e. edges of clear bra) can I use 360 like a LSP?

Step 7: Apply Liquid Souveran w/ blue pad, and micro fiber applicator pad on tight spots. Stand back and take lots of pictures.

Other Q’s:
Will crystal mist work to get rid off tape residue?

I plan on getting shop lights, what wattage should I choose?

How long should I wait to use the Souveran SW after using LS?

For maintenance I will re-wax once a month, and use 360 every 3 months.

Thank you in advance, for reading this post and replying w/ your ideas and opinions.
I should put this plan into motion in about a week. I will be doing a whole write up.
Keep your eyes peeled.

you are missing the clay step, which is probably the most important step. Even if you think your paint does noy need to be clayed, do it anyways! there are microscopic bits of fallout that bond to your paint surface, these particals can not be seen with the naked eye, but they can prevent wax from bonding, hinder polishing and make your finish dull, i clay every month and ill tell you i am surprised at all the yellow crap comming off my Supposedly clean car!

if you are going to be using clay monthly make sure and use some really fine clay like pinns ultra poly clay.

I used to tape off all my trim/edges, but I learned that w a PC it doesnt really make that much of a difference. It saves a lot of time and hassle.

Not to mention the lines of wax/sealant that the tape leaves (really hard to get off)

I thought that the problem is that the polish stains the trim?? Or do some not do that? If so, does anyone know if Menzerna stains the trim?

I've read that with most wax/sealants there is no problem so you don't need to tape if you aren't polishing?

Also to the OP, you mention tape residue, shouldn't there be no tape residue if you use the expensive all surface painters tape?

Menerza does not stain from my experience.

Im not talking about tape residue. Im talking about the product getting jammed under the tape when working with the PC.
