Edge 2000 pads lifespan

I did a quick search and didn't find the topic I was looking for. Basically, the question is what is the lifespan of the Edge 2000 pads? Is there a way to tell when the pad is about to give it out or do I just use it till it falls apart? I also clean it up after every use.

are the edge ones that look like an egg crate kind of? or are the edge ones flat?

Both, they have wave and regular.

Ive had my edge waves about 6 months,used maybe 25 times and still usable.......
