It really doesn't help that I've got a silver car I can barely see the swirls (guess thats a good thing, but damm it's hard to work on) I'm gonna try to do my GF's GS300 which is a dark blue, I'm sure that will make the polish stand out more.

That's how it's supposed to be. Two nickel sized amounts is *way* too much once the pad is primed.
