XMT and pad question

Ive been using XMT 3 with an orange pad.
There are still a tad of scratches that have not come out,

should I switch to XMT 4? or stay with XMT 3 and use a yellow?
Or XMT 4 w yellow?

Is changing the polish or pad moving up MORE in abrasiveness?

well...if it scratches ..try your best with xmt 3 and orange pad..if that doesnt work...do xmt 4 with orange pad..then that doesnt work xmt 4 with yellow pad...but thats for really bad scratches..and for the swirl marks..you mite have do go over the sections again with xmt 3 and orange pad

I try realllly hard to use no more than XMT4 or OC with a green edge pad (same as LC orange). The reason is I really don't like to use yellow since it leaves a ton of micrmarring from the pad usually.

I'd try XMT 4 with orange. The problem with yellow pad is it's way to aggressive, and will haze your finish. You will have to follow up with orange pad afterwards, so I'd leave yellow pad for last.

IT also depends on what kind of car you're working on too. If it's german it's clear coat will be hard as crap. You may need to cut a little harder (yellow) to get out swirls. I see you have a 3 series in your avatar, is that the car?
